Gender Reveal Party!

So as soon as I found out Sam was pregnant, I thought it would be so fun to do a double gender reveal party since this would probably be the only time we will be able to do it together. It just so happened I was going to Arizona for a month so we had to do it! The problem was that in order to let people know in enough time they wouldn’t know I was pregnant because I wanted to wait till I was at least 12 weeks. So we decided that I was going to throw Sam a gender reveal party and then I would just announce both me being pregnant AND the gender at the same time. It was so hard to be in Arizona for 4 weeks and either not tell people or lie to them when they would ask how things are going. I HATED IT! So since Sam is about 6 weeks further along

The 1st Trimester

My pregnancy with Emmitt is night and day difference. Some of the symptoms I had were: I was so nauseous. I literally couldn’t go in my kitchen because the fridge smell would make me gag. All I wanted to do was sleep. My boobs grew 2 sizes and hurt so bad. I had an instant baby bump and clothes were soooo tight. Nothing sounded good to eat. I literally do not have a brain and cant remember a thing. Those are just some of the main symptoms that I had. I didnt have ANY of these with Emmitt. Because of my last miscarriage I was so afraid to have another one that I had a really hard time celebrating this one. I didnt take any pictures other than a couple. I didnt document anything. I started out my last pregnancy writing down everything and taking weekly pictures that are sometimes hard to look at and I didnt want that to

Finding out we are pregnant!

Words can’t describe how happy we are! As soon as we got to Texas we decided I needed to go see a fertility doctor. We went in and Jordan and I took all the tests we could to help determine what our issue(s) were with trying to get pregnant. Jordan’s tests all came back perfect. Mine came back with basically what I already knew and that I just don’t ovulate. And when I do ovulate its later in my cycle which isn’t optimal for an egg to implant. My doctor also wanted my vitamin D level to be just a tad higher so she recommend for me to take vitamin D supplements. The next step was to wait for my period. On Easter my period hadn’t come yet. I didn’t think anything of it this time because I hardly have regular periods and I had a doctor’s appointment that next day to get everything started for my IUI. Apparently (which

Infertility Journey: My Miscarriage

Today was our 2nd baby’s due date. As I look back on the pictures I took of my small bump and the video I recorded telling Jordan I was pregnant for the second time (which I cant post or he would be SO mad 🙂 ) I am beyond hurt and sad. I was so happy to have been able to get pregnant again on my own and Emmitt and baby #2 would only be 2 years apart. Now 5 months later, I still haven’t gotten pregnant again and it makes this day even more hard. I have found myself once a month on a Saturday upset because that was the day id be “6 months pregnant” or “8 months pregnant” I cant even think about it without crying. One of the hardest parts for me is that I am almost 28 years old and I have people surrounding me that are barely even 25, if that, that are on

2016 Hawaii trip-mostly pictures.

Jordan and I got to go back to Hawaii in December. This time with out Emmitt. We had so much fun, half way through the week we wished Emmitt was with us haha. Here are some pictures of our trip! Last year we did a cage free shark dive so this year we went sky diving. I really hope we dont do “things to cause our deaths” every year. I think I have hit my limit. haha. Polynesian Cultural Center Henna tattoo’s      photos-43 Facetiming Em’s We flew to Hawaii out of Vegas. So the night before we left we went out and had so much fun. Stir Fry Chicken and Broccoli

This is one of my go to dinners that I make when I dont want to come up of something to make. I always have all the ingredients on hand. Here are the ingredients: 2-3 chicken breats thawed. I buy the kirkland individually wrapped ones and stick them out to thaw. I do one chicken per person eating and I usually have leftovers. 2-3 Tablespoons of  finally chopped garlic cloves. about 2-3 Teaspoons ground ginger. (I do about as many teaspoons as pieces of chicken) 1 cup of chicken broth. I alway have chicken bullion on hand so instead of broth I do 1 cup water and 2 cubes of bullion. 3 Tablespoons of soy sauce 2 teaspoons of sugar broccoli: as much or little as you would like. I like a lot. Do note that if you use frozen broccoli like I do it does shrink down quite a bit. So dont be intimidated by  putting a lot

How I travel with my toddler

I dont know about you but packing and even thinking about flying with my toddler stresses me the heck out. Emmitt is a great child but he is a very active kid. He has a hard time sitting still for long periods of time. We have usually always flew Delta but with Emmitt and him being a lap child I have been loving Southwest. First we get two free checked bags so duh I just brought two bags to put under and didnt have to have a big carry on. Also Unless you dont check in fast enough (But with a child 6 and under you get to board after A group) you get your choice of seat. I always try to pick a window and not many people willingly sit next to you if you have a kid 🙂 If they don’t sit next to you and the flight isnt full (both ways weren’t) Emmitt got his own

Most embarrassing Story

Out of all my embarrassing stories, this one is by far my MOST embarrassing. Most mornings I take Tank (our 5 month old dog) for a walk with Emmitt on my back. We live next to an Elementary school it is on the street behind us. I have to walk past the school to get to the trail we like to walk on. Today we were on our walk right as a lot of parents were dropping off their kids for school. So I waited until there was a break of cars to cross the street and get to the trial. Well as we were walking across the street Tank decides he needs to poop. (I hate bathroom words but for this sake I had to say it.) IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. As he is pooping cars are stopping which creates lines on both sides of the street waiting for my dog to stop pooping. THEN I had

Finding out we are expecting baby #2

BACK STORY (TMI):So I had been having regular periods after taking a couple rounds of infertility medication. In May I thought it would be the best birthday present to find out I was pregnant. But then I started my period. Since then we have only tried using the ovulation kit. In June I went and visited my mom for 2 weeks and while I was there I thought I might be pregnant. I was having crazy symptoms. Although my period never came in June, I could never get a positive pregnancy test.   The day I found out I was pregnant with baby  #2 — July 1st. That morning I woke up from having a dream that I went to the hospital because I was in a lot of pain and they told me I was in labor  when I had no idea I was even pregnant. I delivered an 11 pound baby boy with lots of  brown hair. I woke

Emmitt’s Bedtime Routine

I first want to start off by saying I am not video maker in the slightest. I made this video purely to remember this precious time I have with him every night before he wont do it with me anymore 😦 I also cut it shorter because we read two books and we have to do all the hand gestures and reading scriptures take us a couple minutes.   At 7:00pm is when we start our bedtime routine. We get pj’s on, change diaper, read story(ies),  read scriptures, turn on turtle,  say prayers, kisses, down for bed. *We have swim lessons or going swimming a lot so we usually shower mid day, but depending on other things we did that day we will take a shower before bed. Right now Emmitt’s favorite books to read before he goes to bed are (linked below) Goodnight Football  and  123 I got really lucky (knock on wood) that Emmitt loves bedtime. Once I
